Cisco has awarded Comstor, a part of Westcon-Comstor the 2020 Cisco distributor of the year prize for Sub-Saharan Africa at the vendor’s annual Partner Summit Awards for the region at a virtual event.
According to a statement, as one of the longest standing Cisco distributors across the region, Comstor supports its partnership through ongoing investment into bolstering the technical and sales skills of its teams, coupled with ongoing individual development, as well as partner enablement and mentorship programmes.
With a strong focus on providing developing partners with business development support as well as marketing and sales, Comstor continues to leave a lasting impact on the businesses it assists.
Rakesh Parbhoo, CEO at Westcon-Comstor Sub-Saharan Africa said, “Our Comstor team across the continent never take their foot off the gas. They work tirelessly under the leadership of Louise Taute and Vincent Entonu to continually reinvent themselves and our offerings, highlighting the relevance and importance of Cisco’s technology to customers and partners.”
“I would like to applaud the entire Comstor team for their invaluable contribution to our business as well as thank our partner Cisco for the recognition and providing us such a dynamic technology portfolio to work with,” added Pabhoo.
While the global pandemic put many businesses under pressure, the Comstor team developed highly tailored campaigns and solution offerings around the full remit of Cisco solutions with specific emphasis on staying safe and staying connected.
Later morphing this into staying safe and staying productive. It has made great strides in emphasising the full range of Cisco collaboration, mobility, cloud, networking and security solutions – all of which can assist companies across the continent to continue working – no matter where their teams reside.
“Cisco continues to be a valuable partner to Westcon-Comstor, and we are looking forward to building on the exceptional momentum and cadence we have created in 2020 and taking this forward into 2021,” concluded Parbhoo.
Cisco’s ongoing partner enablement programmes have ensured that its partner base has been able to continue business as usual while creating the benchmark for what industry terms the new normal.
